MOTTO MOTTO SIGNS FIRST FRANCHISEES, SEEKS INTERSTATE EXPANSION PUSH

The chain aims to enter VIC next year.

Brisbane-headquartered Motto Motto announced the signing of its first franchisees as it proceeds with interstate expansion.

The Japanese quick-service restaurant chain said the four franchisees will operate their Westfield Carindale outlet in QLD but added it is looking for franchisees nationally as they expand their NSW footprint and enter the VIC next year.

In the past 12 months, Motto Motto has opened three outlets, appointed heads to marketing and supply chain, inked a national distribution deal and has created their Kyoto At Home e-commerce brand.

“This news tops off a very challenging and productive year for our group but is illustrative of our proposition to the franchise market. We are not just disrupting with low fees but solving some of the issues the industry is facing,” Motto Motto chief commercial officer Matt Fickling said in a statement.
